NOTICE: This project is currently in hiatus, scope is too large for me to currently work on but I am not giving up on this yet. Stay tuned, the finished version will be absolutely insane.

Map Premise:
There has never been a project like this in the history of Minecraft. The Cenotaph is planned to be a one-of-a-kind Minecraft experience, will be a mix between a survival and massive, liminal space escape room map. It will take the collective effort of many builders to create, and even more players to escape.

The map will be Java Vanilla 1.21, and will first be hosted on the official community server as a massive, long term collaborative effort to find out how to escape this strange monolith.

This map will change how Minecraft is fundamentally played. This map will flip the core progression of Vanilla on its head by creating a reverse Skyblock-like experience, making players search and become resourceful to escape this massive prison. It is currently calculated to have billions of blocks as part of its interior, and will be a handcrafted challenge that will potentially take weeks or months of collaborative planning and mapping (once finished) to fully escape.

TLDR: The Cenotaph is a massive elaborate escape room. It currently only in the beginning of the building phase. The map will include hundreds of handcrafted "liminal space" inspired rooms, as well as unique lore, progression, and mechanics to make this map truly unlike the rest.

(Map size currently sits at quaint 2000 blocks tall, and 5000 blocks wide. Stay tuned.)

Working on a smaller map currently, but Ive been doing lots of planning and moodboarding for the Cenotaph (about 6 months of material) cant say when this will be done but dont worry, theres no way in hell Im abandoning this idea. :)

Sorry! I was originally working on this with a small build team but we all got bored of it, and I started making smaller maps in the meantime. I definitely still want to finish this but it'll probably be a solo project.
