Is the Easter Bunny real?



This question has plagued mankind (and little kids) for many a millennia. I was asked this question once by my daughter, and dare I say I have the true answer to this question.



You see, yes, the Easter Bunny is real.



The enigmatic rodent has been worshiped by a primitive but happy-go-lucky people since before recorded history. In 1986 I was aboard a exploratory vessel looking for a practical northwest passage when suddenly a heavy fog engulfed the ship. The fog lasted for 'neary a week, when suddenly we struck ground. The fog cleared, the sun was shining with the light of a glimmering rainbow. We didn't know where we were at, the compasses and satellite navigation equipment had gone hay-wire. We noticed it was unseasonably warm for what we guessed was still a very Northern latitude.



After some time walking along the coast we sighted an incredible structure, the Easter Bunny Sphinx!

Almost immediately a strange dwarf-like people came out of thin air with copious amounts of Easter eggs and candy of all kinds. From the bottom the Easter Bunny Sphinx we were told (oddly enough the people spoke English with a very heavy Scottish accent) that the river water healed all wounds and made them biologically immortal. The hospitality of the "Neo-Bunnites" as they called themselves was unmatched, we slept on the most comfortable beds made of fine strands of plastic grass, which smelled like tulips, but tulips don't really smell to me so they actually didn't smell like anything. But I like to imagine it smelled awesome.



Unfortunately we had to get back to our job so the residents of the land helped free our ship. We then decided to sail a little further north in search of Santa's Workshop. Maybe one day I will have time to tell the complete story, however I am currently occupied with a swarm of Leprechauns with heavily flawed intellectual assumptions about gold and rainbows.
