20 A.D. The first human war against the Elden Trees of the North began. The Elden Trees are extremely powerful and magical beings. Their magic was primarily aimed towards providing life to the world. Humans however, believed the Elden Trees to be a threat of their own survival. Soon after they attacked the Elden Trees. The Elden Trees decided not to kill those now attacking and instead ascended from the world to the skies. On each of these sky islands (or chunks as they were called) consisted of water, animals, life and one Elden Tree. The Elden Trees then would cast an ascension spell to keep them afloat in the sky. This spell cast a large green glow from the wand. The only problem with casting this spell was that they had to maintain it for many thousands of years, so to maintain the energy to cast it they would firmly plant their roots into the ground, cast the spell, and sleep. This is just one example of the Elden Trees, this one specifically is an Elden Spruce.
