The Fateless

The Fateless is an Airship operated by an organization of Pirates in the sea off the Western coast of the continent that Tao Ren occupies.

Story:

Despite Stan Moloyo s best efforts airships failed to catch on in the republic and it seemed that they would be doomed to languish in the garbage can of history. For many years the idea of the airship faded from the minds of the republics citizens which to them seemed to be nothing more then a passing fad. That is until fate intervened. A pirate community operating of the west coast of Tao Ren took the idea of the airship and built a fleet of pirate ships which they then used to raid sea born shipping and coastal communities. The Republic ill prepared for this development was for the most part powerless to do anything to stop them especially after the Dragon Knights failed attempt to stop the pirate ships ended with the destruction of half there forces effectively ending the Dragon Knights influence in Tao Ren politics. These raids reached there peak when the pirates launched a raid against Arris the republics capital and caused extensive damage to the city. This forced the republic to revive its airship program in order to counter the pirate raids.

Little did anyone in the republic know however that the pirates did not build the airships that they were using. The Island nation of Nidowa constructed them in order to get back at the Republic of Tao Ren for centuries of aggression towards there sovereignty. Though technically part of Republic Nidowa is actually an independent nation and is part of the republic in name only. The ruler of Nidowa Lord Tristem saw the potential of the airship idea and created The Fateless and its sister ships in order to cause trouble for the republic as part of a grand scheme intended to destroy Tao Reno s claim over the islands.
