"The Hunger" is my reimagined version of the popular 74th Hunger Games arena, which is the arena where the Hunger Games first book/movie is set in. A deep and wild forest landscape prepared to get tribute's blood spilled. May the odds be ever in your favour!

---Storytime of This Project---
Getting this map done has been a true odyssey. The idea of creating a Hunger Games arena with "natural" precipice borders (in the style of FyreUK's "Remnant" or ThatOldKid's "Forsaken Ascension") had been in my mind since many years ago; but since World Edit/World Painter ( my usual map-making tools) brushes are very basic to make that kind of vertical landscapes, and VoxelSniper didn't work as a single player mod, I never had the chance of making it.

But recently, a PMC guy called Dannypan, let me know about "TerraSniper", which was a 1.18.6 forge based version of VoxelSniper. I finally managed to create the terrain I had been wishing to make for so many years, but the issues were about to start lmao:

All my maps are made in MC 1.8.9, which is the most favorable version for all the servers that still nowaday feature Survival Games mode. But the terrain I built was made in 1.18.6. Result? The map crashed every time I tried to open it in older versions, and I had no way to use it within 1.8.9. Then, after a long investigation, I learned about an external tool called "Amulet", which with patience and research, helped me move all my terrain (in chunks) into a different empty world created in 1.12 (Oldest version handled by Amulet). After getting all the terrain already moved, I could finally open it in 1.12, and later in 1.8.9, which didn't cause that big incompatibility I had with 1.18.6. And happily ever after? Nope xD.

I had my full terrain in 1.8.9, yes! But something unexpected was happening in my map: All illumination was completely bugged and broken in the Pasted area. All chunks were permanently bright and lacking of shadows. That was so frustrating. After another round of research, I got the most viable solution: I had to destroy every single block in my map (with world edit tools), in order to get them updated into the new "atmosphere". Since I couldnt break the entire map at once without my PC dying, I felt forced to break it in air cylinders of 40 rad. blocks and 150 of height. Using undo everytime I broke the blocks. So until refreshing the entire map volume, and finally getting rid of all the issues and being able to start creating the map itself.

What a damn headache lmao!
