The Rose-Murderer
Our Sherlock arrives at a crime scene with a dead young girl, which got killed by a brutal murderer, who leaves roses at his victims corpses.
When we imagine a Level-Cap Sherlock, we think of a sixpacked-tall detective, who is able to recognice every single evidence on spot as he arrives at the crime-scene.
For our entry of Jazzas Challenge of he Month, we choosed not to use „traditional“-Art, but the 3D-voxel based video game „minecraft“, which limits us to a maximum resolution of 256 pixels. So we have a 3D modell of the whole image laying around somewhere on a server. The „build“ got exportet and put together in the programm „blender“ and than being edited in Photoshop. The whole process for this one piece took probably more than 100 hours of gameplay and editing. The rather big number appears, because every organic on the picture had to be done fully in 3D.
Here are some midtime images, we took during the process as well as pre-renders oft he final piece: http://imgur.com/a/KWbN8
