Block by Block: Building a Teaching Opportunity:

ThreeFold-May Manor

Chestrooms, A RollerCoaster, and Secrets!

The Next Step is Yours.

This was my self-teaching world, that gave me more lessons on Mine craft, then teachers do with Math. Weekend upon weekend this was my free escape from the world. It was a release of my imagination, creativity, and above all else a place for me to think. Block placed, block found, learned what this and that was, identifying every block every single step of the way. Bedrock, bucket, what this? Bricks. A lesson learned was a step in the right direction. I learned how to be lost in a tangle of mines, or how to be found in a tangle of mobs. Danger and at the brink of the last heart to safety at the bed.

I crafted more and more, building my home, my mansion, my manor, my place to hide from the mobs, inside the game that made me hide from the math homework. I learned how to Mine, and how to Craft. This was my feat, this was my talent I felt, my calling at the time. So, I built the manor above, found items and organized them in chests. Memorized Mobs, oh, not those skeletins again! I learned how to be in a place that really showed me what I was truly capable of. I constructed the manor starting with a border of wooden planks, building up and up, oh damn, block limit. So at the end of the day, when the sun is peaking down, and the mobs start to spawn, I am thankful for this world, this escape.

Everything in this world has a little story of its own. Like how I died with my first ten diamonds. Or how I found an abandoned mineshaft, didn't no what is was, left it, and never saw it again. (Remember I'm still learning.) And the truth is, you never stop learning from what you like. Learn and thing a day, keep the teacher away. I realized that Minecraft really had math incorporated into it, and used that aspect to construct my dream-house. My grades started improving as I built more and more learning how to build this and that, with what we were learning in the math class. Minecraft with Math, that's what I told myself. Other aspects of the game showed opportunity as well. When the game was recently released with multiple languages, I used them to improve my chinese, and started raising my hand more and more during classes. I learned. When I look back at this mansion I thank it, it really was this theoretical checkpoint that started my desire to learn about Minecraft, Math and anything that started to appeal. That is why this manor matters to me, because it was my teacher, but the same level as me, like a teaching friend. I owe this seed so much it is unbearable. This seeded the obsession of mine that would become Minecraft.

The checkpoint starts when I placed the first wooden plank of the mansion. I constructed the main center, made side-rooms, expanded upward. Failed sometimes, succeed without really meaning to. I constructed the seconds, then third floor, added a porch. Got inspired for other detailing on the construction. I made a roller-coaster encircling the area of the manor, that you can ride forever with boredom ever creeping up on you. (Be warned, roller-coasters and hard mode don't go together. While bordem does not creep up on you, creepers do.) I discovered red stone in my various mining expeditions and self-taught myself to make rather (lets say) acceptable secrets in the manor. It was annoying to make, but highly worthwhile. I expanded more and more adding everything I could muster in my imagination. I added an organized chestroom, cool pad, just went crazy, and even added furniture from the nether. So again, I would not like to lose sight of the real reason I am writing this, my minecraft teacher, this world.

The Manor is currently chock full of items anyone might find fun to play around with. A stack of diamonds can be obtained in the chest-room, just letting you guys know. While I have taken every ounce of fun this had out of it, I'm sure you can squeeze some more. For adventures and goals I highly recommend you taking a peak at the logs.

Additional Notes

Branded as my first building, better yet world. This is sort of a old world I find time and time again, yet my admiration for it has not faltered. Looking back on it, I would like to upload it first on PlanetMinecraft, with the intentions it was my first for a lot of other Minecraft related things.
CreditTheoreticallyy for construction and design. DrGear, for getting those creepers gathered up in the manor. The Next Step is Yours.
