This was supposed to become an adventure map for a friend of mine, as you can notice it was a flat map and we had no knowledge of any software to help us with making it none flat at the time.

This is how is looks today (still pretty flat)

It has got quite a few dungeons, a town and some houses in the forests.

if you want to improve the landscape, make some mountains or something, maybe you can try to use a worldpainter?
