Your name is Dylan, and you were depressed since you were a child.
To make matters worse, everyone left you. Some died, like your mother, and some left you alone on purpose, like your father. In 1991 he went to Alaska for an unknown reason, and never came back.
In August of 1992, you wake up one morning and decide to not go to work. You don't care anymore, you think this is all going to end soon, you turn on the TV, but an interference takes over it.
You stare at it.
Its redness gets into your brain destroyed by emotions.
It calls from Willow, a city in Alaska.
Hoping to find your lost father, you book a house in the heart of Willow's forest, where you'll find ruins of a macabre past and souls left buried in hell, programmed to kill anything in sight.
The thought that your father could still be alive brightens your mind.

This is Twisted Mind: Insanity, a minecraft horror map that includes:
- Custom mechanics
- Custom 3d models and textures
- Custom sounds
- An atmosphere built with care and precision
- A story that I wrote personally in months
- Translation in English and Italian
- j u m p s c a r e s
This map is Singleplayer Only, for 1.20.4, and requires OPTIFINE to work.
I recommend using MC VHS shaders. If you use them, paste the txt file contained in the map file in the shaders folder, because it contains all the shader's settings.

Update #3 : by seefer_seeks 05/08/2026 2:14:53 pmMay 8 @ 6:14 pm UTC
Hey it's been a while since I updated this map, but here I am.
Also small announcement. Firstly, I want to thank each and every one of you for the support, really appreciate it! Secondly, the second chapter is on the works, and I want it to have a really big quality jump from the previous one, so it's gonna take a really long time also since I'm a solo developer and I've been busy at school. This first chapter was meant to be a test for me, to understand what people like and how to improve. Thank you again, See you next year...
- Finally fixed the bug with sings (you can spam them now)
- Small changes to the atmosphere
- Added objectives to make the gameplay more clear
- Added more health to the final boss
- Fixed some annoying grammar mistakes (srry my english is a bit rusty)

Have something to say?
did have an issue with the gun tho, on the final boss fight the gun just straight up didn't fire, it was fully loaded (12 rounds shown above my hotbar) and i tried both right and left clicking, shifting and not shifting, i ended up flying around the command blocks area in spectator mode to see if i could trigger something to make the gun work until eventually i flew into the right spot that caused the monster to be killed and the door to open.
Also this isnt a bug but as someone who doesn't usually use optifine i didn't know i had to have Dynamic Lighting enabled and it took me a few minutes to figure out why the lantern wasn't working, would be nice to have that in the recommended settings section.
other than that tho i really enjoyed the map, looking forward to chapter 2!
