This is my shot at making a minesweeper, which I realize is much more common than I thought it would be while creating this map. It's feature-complete, and heavily inspired by Sethbling's minesweeper's map a few years back.
FEATURES :
- Feature-complete : every aspect of the original windows minesweeper is included : mines, flags, spreading holes and even sprites, thanks to a custom resource pack. (except the yellow smiley guy ; and the timer)
- Simple gameplay : left click to uncover a case ; right click to place a flag, then an '?', then back to a normal case ; flagged cases can't be uncovered, even accidentally. No buttons to press or pressure plate to step on.
- Instant replay : just press a button after you die to play again
- Explosive mines : mines are TNT blocks. If you accidentally uncover one, it blows up with the rest of the map.
- Adjustable difficulty : while the size of the terrain is fixed, you can choose the number of mines before each game.
- Destructible environment : the inner walls surrounding the game zone can be destroyed by explosions. Press a button to rebuild them anew.
- No cheating : go ahead, try. Guessing the position of mines is impossible without using commands.
NOTE : The trailer doesn't really do justice to the map. Most of the lag is due to the recording software ; the map actually runs pretty smoothly.
