You aren't just playing Pac-Man anymore, oh no, this is ULTRA Pac-Man!
Hello everyone. I decided that a simple Pac-Man map wasn't enough, so I did a little experimenting with the Dimensional Doors mod and the product of that is this: ULTRA PAC-MAN!
Features:
*Pretty much everything from the predecessor, Ultimate Pac-Man
*Use of the Dimensional Doors mod to separate the map from the Overworld (where it would be boring, in my opinion)
*Use of the scoreboard to sort players into teams (not to keep track of score; you're gonna have to keep track of Pac-Man's score by yourself, because I'm honestly too lazy to do that.)
*Enhanced maze with use of the Colourful Portals mod to teleport players to the other side of the maze without use of command blocks
*Enhanced Gamekeeper's area (A lot more command blocks, lights to turn off when a section of the maze is cleared so Pac-Man isn't aimlessly running around looking for pellets, announcing more events from ghosts switching to Scatter mode to Pac-Man earning an extra life!)
*Pixel art on the walls (Pac-Man sprite, Blinky sprite, "Pac-Man" spelled out in glowstone, and a map of the maze)
*The long-awaited return of the dreaded split screen! (If you go "behind the scenes," so to speak, you can see another door with a sign saying, "WARNING: Level 256. Do not exceed 255 levels." With the use of diamonds to keep track of how many levels Pac-Man has cleared, giving him one for each level, four stacks of diamonds should do the trick!)
*Regular torches and redstone torches are still used
*Gamerule doTileDrops has been disabled, so if you find torches dropping sticks (if you're using the latest version of the Amnesia mod for 1.7.10) annoying, you don't have to worry about it!
*148 torches (2 stacks + 20) and 4 redstone torches must be broken to clear a level
*In addition to Blinky, Pinky, Inky, and Clyde, you can now play as Sue (purple), Funky (green), and Spunky (grey, represented by an iron chestplate)
*Use of my own custom texture pack for the best experience
*Use of the XtraBlocks mod to add color chestplates to represent the ghosts (Pac-Man will be represented with a gold chestplate and leggings)
*Optional use of Optifine if your game tends to lag a lot
*You may sprint, but don't do it too much
*Gamerule keepInventory has been enabled for convenience's sake
*Repositioned life counter (which still maxes out at five, but Pac-Man can still get more lives if he desires)
*Option to continue a specific player's game as Pac-Man where it left off where he/she got Game Over
*A full instruction manual for the gamekeeper to read to other players or for the players to take turns reading
*A full variety of bonus items (which you probably saw in the screenshots) instead of just apples
*Cheats are turned on so if the gamekeeper runs out of torches to place in the maze, he/she can spawn more
*Where pellets are and aren't allowed are now marked in the maze (black wool = no pellet zone, white wool = Power Pellet, anywhere else = pellets)
*A new bonus item for the 256th level, the crown, so if Pac-Man's running low on lives, he can get 10,000 points on the fly
*Before, the game ended on a sad note for Pac-Man, but now, you have an option: Get the record score of 3,333,360 points and stop there, or go for the new ending: One where Pac-Man escapes the Glitch
*The option to "Billy Mitchell that bad boy" as the Pac-Manual puts it
IMPORTANT: Use Forge version 10.13.4.1481 for 1.7.10
Mod List: [MINIMUM REQUIRED] (Included in the download, so don't worry)
XtraBlocks
Colourful Portals
Dimensional Doors
Smart Moving (For the improved sprinting)
Carpenter's Blocks
Optional Mods: (Also included in the download)
Amnesia mod
ExtraUtilities
Time Control
Optifine 1.7.10 HD U C1
Item Physics
Rei's Minimap (which makes the lights at the four corners useless)
NOTE: If you see that Forge has noticed missing mods (that shouldn't happen if you're playing with friends on a server), that's because I use more mods than what you see here, such as the Gravestone mod and the Realistic World Generation mod.
Setup:
1. Install the required Forge version
2. Install all required mods
3. Put the contents of the folder "ultrapacmanworldsave" within the .zip folder into your Forge server's world folder
4. Get Hamachi or whatever you use to connect to your friends with if you haven't already
5. Launch the server and have a great time!
