As airship technology progressed world wide, the threat of them being used as a highly efficient weapon of war beyond their usual for commerce and mercantile work became apparent. The rise of pirates like Edward the Bloody lead to the threat of many city states lacking the money to afford a fleet of their own coming under threat of attack.
A cheap alternative to the large and expensive aerial warships was the airskiff. A small, cheap, and versatile aircraft capable of mounting weapons capable of bringing down an airship given enough numbers. These small crafts were favored by the city states as a way to defend themselves against a variety of threats on a budget. Janportus being the most prominent user of more advanced airskiff technologies.
This particular aircraft mounts a small TNT cannon to blow a hole in the fireproof shell of an aerial warship in order to allow supporting aircraft to ignite the lifting cells with their firecharge guns. However, its slow speed made it vulnerable to anti-aircraft fire and other fighter aircraft. Despite this, their use would continue as they served as one of the cheapest options for anti-armor until their decline with the advent of lightweight aerial torpedo wielding skiffs.

The airskiff is based on a recreation of various cannon skiffs used in the Airship Pirates series by BaccaYarro/Loraxe42. I can't find the specific model however.
Movecraft Compatibility
All weapons on the ship function without the Movecraft plugin as they're Redstone-based. However, if you wish to move the ship around, you need the Movecraft plugin.
