It still works after the update. I don't use the piston to duplicate, I only use the piston to store it away.

this won't work anymore,Notch fixed the block duplication glitch with pistons in the 1.7.3 update.

that's the bug where you use a piston flashing really quickly to duplicate. Making cobble has always worked this way, except the piston moves it so it can make more
