There was, long before the brief time of humanity's existence, a race. A race of sentient beings so powerful, that they gained control of all Earth, enthralling any other sentient race that dared face them. They were the apex predator, with no worthy foes... so why use defences? That, my friend, was their downfall. In a single night of strife and terror, the so-called apex race were gone, any proof of their existence sought out and extinguished. However, only one piece of their legacy remained, hidden in the heaven's above, and above the East Coast of the Americas. It holds secrets like none seen before, leading us doubt our answers on two monumental questions... Where do we come from? Why are we here?
