A rough recreation of the famous Vault 8 and surrounding VaultCity. This is not meant to be an exact model, simply an inspired vault based around Vault 8 of the Fallout 2 game. Comments and suggestions welcome. Progress will be slow due to my schedule. Be patient.
Also, there WILL be a city outside of it. It simply won't be VaultCity. It will be a modern-style city.

Additional Notes
It is being made on the TekkitCraft server. I am a moderator here and have been for the past year and a quarter (As of post). It's entirely made in survival, which is also part of the reason progress will be slow.| Progress | 5% complete |

The project has been restarted with the new version of Tekkit. Building is taking place in survival mode and will be less a copy of the actual thing, and will simply be inspired by Vault 8. We shall see.

Vault 8 was one of the few vaults actually intended to keep it's occupants alive and was also one of the few (the only one actually seen in any of the games) that has this outer blast door. I never actually finished this (due to a server reset), but the interior door did roll to the side using frames.
Now where's my waffle :P

It's originally from Fallout 2, where one of the control vaults... Vault 8, I believe it was, opened after the predetermined period of time, allowing the vault members to spill out and make a city around the area that they had cleaned with a EDEN kit.
To be quite frank, I am unsure of if I will even complete this or not. If I choose not to, I will obviously take down the project. The issue is, there's so many details that it will be next to impossible to get one to scale, especially with only the top down views. Plus, I have just been extremely busy with work here lately.
Hm. Interesting. I've not played that game, but the bit you've explained here sounds interesting..
Yeah, by the screenshots provided I an see how that may be a problem..
