The DBY-827 Heavy Turbolaser turret was the standard and main Heavy Turbolaser equipped onto the Venator Class Star Destroyer. Equipped with 8 of these turrets, 4 flanking each side of the command towers, these Turbolasers were capable of switching between various firing modes that allowed the Venator to lay down extensive fields of suppressive fire in order to cover starfighters during engagements or dish out close range, high damage shots that could tear enemy vessels apart during broadsides.
