This is a project I started in Beta 1.2/1.3, stopped working on a long time ago and never finished. It's a close recreation of St Mark's square in Venice and the surrounding structures.

So far I have built the exterior of the square, the St Mark cathedral, the Campanile (tower), surrounding buildings, the palace, prison and the park. I recently decided to clean it up, revamp it completely with the quartz update by replacing all the wool with the newly added quartz blocks, slabs and stairs. The original goal was to add a larger part of buildings and canals to form a more complete city, but I'm not really working on it anymore, so I decided to put up a download link. I Included the ships and stalls you can see in some of the screenshots.

The screenshots are a mix of old and newer shots, so some are less detailed than the current build. Feel free to explore it and use the contents to your likes. I'd love to know if you use it anywhere.
