I was going to suggest you put some furniture in here, but I see you said that it's intended to be decorated by the player. That's fine.

I will go with my original suggestion of varying the colors and designs of the walls, floors, etc. There are tons of great galleries and sites dedicated to helping players make their builds even better. Here are some of my favorites that could help ya - [Floors, Furniture] [Various] [Various 2]
