We are delighted to present our latest collaboration with the ADAMuseum (Art & Design Atomium Museum) and the e-sport bar Meltdown from Brussels. The purpose was to get Minecraft to meet with Bauhaus, a major artistic movement from the XXth century, in an exhibition held in Brussels on April 29th and 30th. You will find there a range of activities such as building and discovering architectural builds. As our contribution to this event, we have reproduced the "Bauhaus" from Dessau-Roßlau (Germany), and a few pieces of furniture from the Bauhaus movement.

Have you always heard about it without trying? It is the opportunity! Introduction to the game and the creation for the less experimented. Simple constructions and coaches will guide you in an open world where you will meet the other visitors of the exhibition.

BAUHAUS
The building block system was popularised on the international design scene by Alma Siedhoff-Buscher, who in 1923 designed the “Bauspiel Schiff” (“ship” building toy), the most successful of the “Bauhaus Baukästen” at the Bauhaus school. Nearly one century after the founding of the twentieth century’s most renowned school, Minecraft servers have become one of the most powerful historical expressions of its influence. Laboratory of experimental digital production for millions. In Minecraft, the creative impulse in Alma Siedhoff-Buscher’s building block system becomes a digital interactive reality. Combining the logic of digital image composition in video games, the logic of child creativity and learning, and the logic of collaborative digital media, Minecraft worlds effectively constitute a never-ending laboratory of unbridled creativity whose defining philosophy can be traced back to Walter Gropius’s workshops.

Nous sommes ravis de vous présenter notre dernière collaboration avec le ADAMuseum (Art & Design Atomium Museum) et le bar e-sport Meltdown de Bruxelles dans le but d'un atelier Minecraft sur le thème du Bauhaus, courant artistique emblématique du XXème siècle . Vous retrouverez cet atelier le 29 et 30 avril 2017 au ADAMuseum à Bruxelles où diverses activités comme

"Le système des blocs de construction a été popularisé sur la scène internationale du design par Alma Siedhoff-Buscher qui a conçu, en 1923, le « Bauspiel Schiff », le « Bauhaus Baukästen » le plus célèbre de l’école du Bauhaus. Près d’un siècle après la fondation de l’école la plus réputée du XXe siècle, Minecraft (2009) est devenu une des expressions historiques les plus puissantes de son influence. Laboratoire de production numérique expérimentale, dans Minecraft, l’impulsion créative du système de blocs de construction d’Alma Siedhoff-Buscher devient une réalité interactive numérique. Les univers de Minecraft, qui associent la logique de la composition d’images numériques dans les jeux vidéo, la logique de la créativité enfantine et de l’apprentissage et la logique des médias numériques collaboratifs, sont à proprement parler un laboratoire illimité de créativité débridée dont la philosophie de définition remonte aux ateliers de Walter Gropius."

The Art & Design Atomium Museum is located in the Northern part of the city of Brussels, a 5 minute walk from the Heysel / Heizel metro station (line 6) and right opposite Hall 5 from the Heysel exhibition park and 100m from the Atomium.

• Tourist buses : red bus stops [City Sightseeing Brussels], located 100m away at the foot of the Atomium
• Villo [bike rental] : station 281, located 30m away [on the Boulevard du Centenaire]
