The rivers generated naturally with RTG 1.10, currently there is no version for 1.12 but it is being worked on slowly. The land has been modified with worldedit to build locations for towns/etc along the river, and all the forests have been generated with various functions of worldedit + hand placed trees, the natural biome is plains and only had a few trees every few hundred meters on spawn. I use biomepainter to adjust wayward biomes to be consistent with the coloring if needed
