what about using sethbling's command block minecart stack block thing he used to make santa. the minecart can be underground with rails and the boat will spawn several blocks above the minecart so the boat looks like a real boat on a linear path on the water. you could do the same thing with the helicopter except lots of blocks above. the helicopter lifting off can be done with rails going upwards and helicopter crashing can be done with rails going downwards. the nuke can simply be a kill the people who are still on the island with a kill command with a scoreboard that detects for escaped players and players still on the main map. the death water could probably be retextured and water sounding lava.
