Sakura Island is a new skyblock server that opened to the public on July 14th, 2019. With the ultimate goal of offering a revised and updated skyblock experience for you and everyone else compared to other skyblock servers with features such as custom islands, events, and plugins.
This server was created because of a mix combination of several events, mainly the decline and inactivity of another skyblock server that has been open since 2013, but has declined from 550 daily players to ~2 due to inactivity.
πΈ What does Sakura Island offer? πΈ
Sakura Island re-defines the idea of playing skyblock. This ranges from exceptionally customized islands such as 512x512 islands, 16 players per island, and island permissions. The server will also soon have plugins that are dedicated to non skyblock servers such as OreGenerators, custom islands, and unique shops with tons of items to offer.

The server has started on June 17th, 2019, and released on July 14th, 2019. Were looking for players to come help out test new commands, permissions, and islands. Players may suggest or send schematica downloads to play their own created island on Sakura Island. Were also looking for players who know how to configure plugins. We are also looking for staff members that will show a leading example on the server and help out the other players on the server.
(Disclaimer: Activity and dedication is required to obtain any staff/builder rank. Instantly joining for such ranks will result in a blacklist of obtaining staff ranks during the early beta phases of Sakura Island.)

Sakura Island is owned and managed by LegendOfYukari, a player who has been playing minecraft for 7 years, and has had 4 years of staff experience, and lots of experience with building. He has built maps specialized in the factions, freebuild, and skyblock fields. Sakura Island is hosted on Apex Minecrafthosting, which is a professional server hosting website.

I will say this: LegendOfYukari - I have no words for how well his builds are. This guy has to have years of past building experience or something. Big + for that. It helps with the islands as well with the small details in every corner. Re-Imagined is possibly the best island as it truely redefines a classic skyblock island with a few trees and some grass. I hope to see more custom islands soon. I am very proud of your building work!
I do suggest toning down the generator. A player told me its a 1/1000 chance to get a diamond but has a few diamonds all ready. Maybe 1/2500? Idk but its still great.
In the end I highly reccomend the server. Many servers in 2019 are usually Factions, or Survival. Good skyblock servers are hard to find as they use stolen, copied, or default islands and spawns and call it a day. This is unique x 100. ο»ΏKeep up the good work! You got a vote and a diamond from me!
I didn't meet the Owner which is pretty important to know about. But I met a player named Yaro12 and he/she seemed nice, it sort of can tell that the community is nice. The playerbase wasn't big when I joined so could be an issue for lonely players.
The spawn looked nice and the server offer 4 custom skyblock islands and 1 original island. Server offers and admin shop, VPN guard, Discord. Server has number ranks. If you're looking for a pure skyblock server than this might be it if not slightly lonely. The custom islands are the size of the original island if not slightly bigger. It lacks a bit of content to make it more interesting. If you want it simple this server is for you.

Hey there! Sadly I was not available at the time to get on (or even read chat via DiscordSRV.
Id actually consider 6/10 generous. Thank you for being honest and giving feedback regarding to how the server is ran.
After reading your comments, I have decided to compile it into short responser regarding how the server is run.
- First, the server is on 1.12.2 and not 1.14.2 because of the lack of optimization and support for decent plugins (bentobox is still in development. I only use finished products). 1.14.2 is virtually a 1st party mod pack which eats Random Access Memory.
- Second, when we mean looking for staff, we mean players that want to be active in general to fit the role. We have all ready rejected multiple “applications” (ex: Can i haz staff?! Pls i ned op). The two existing staff members have spent multiple hours daily/other days helping out testing bugs, fixing plugins, and help shape the server that it is today. Unfortunately when writing about staff, I personally
expected players that wanted to apply dedicate time and show interest in the server - not whining and asking for op in my PMC mailbox without even joining.
(PS: An example of what I would consider staff grinding is a server with 10 players on discord with 8 inactive staff)
