311smp - Survival Multiplayer

At 311smp we deliver a Semi-Vanilla survival multiplayer(SMP) at our core. The basic game mechanics of Minecraft are the same, battling the toughest mobs, to building the grandest structures, to constructing the most complex of redstone contraptions. We offer just a few other features being careful to not change the game too much but more to take of the hard and repetitive aspects of the game to leave time for more fun!

[​1] Do not kill other players without consent from both parties – PVP is disabled and is NOT allowed in the over-world unless it is in a designated area or is apvp arena. ANY and all attempts of killing another player without them giving consent of their possible death will have you punished. The Nether and The End are the only places PVP is enabled.

[​2] Grieifing/Stealing/Harassment – ANY disruptive behavior will NOT be tolerated! With our wonderful staff, we will catch a playerevery time they grief or steal. If this happens, you will be banished IMMEDIATELY without question

[​3] No hacks or cheats of any kind. these include but are not limited to – X-ray, flying, speed hacks or any other mod that may give the player an unfair advantage are forbidden. Mods including (optifine, minimaps, ect.) Are acceptable. If you are unsure if a mod is allowed ask!

[​4] Watch your language – Cursing, abusive, sexual, or otherwise inappropriate language is simply not acceptable. Links to pornographic/inappropriate sites are also not allowed. We have a large demographic of players on our server, including children. We want our server to be family friendly, so watch your mouth! Respect all players and staff alike.

[​5] Spam – Any consistent repetition of a word or words is considered spam. Excessive use of caps is also not allowed. You can say Hi to Bob without saying it 100 times in a row in all caps.

[​6] Do not promote – Do not promote yourself, websites, servers, or others on our server/website/Facebook group. If you have a YouTube channel and would like to make videos showcasing 311, let us know! We will shout you out.

[​7] Ranks – Ranks on our server are earned by the player. Our ranking structure is a ladder, you start from the bottom and work your way up so there is no skipping ranks. Asking for ranks will not get you very far in the slightest. In fact it is a common annoyance of the owners and staff so you probably should stray away from that.

[​8] Nether/The End – The rules of the nether and the end are a little different. PVP, griefing, and stealing is allowed. (all other rules still apply)

Spawning Items:

We want to be different, in that we want to be a legit server. We don't spawn in items, not even for in-game money. If you need an item that you do not have ask around I bet some players have that item and would be willing to trade or sell it.. You can take pride in knowing all your buildings are made of legit!

Ban Appeals:

If you feel you have been wrongfully banned and would like to appeal, fill out this form. Staff will investigate and use their best judgement on every case.

Roll Backs:

Staff does have the ability to roll back grief, and that's it. It is not to be used to undo something you don't like the way it turned out or when you accidentally blew up your own house. *cough* I wont name names.

World:

Our world is a 10,000 x 10,000 circle. As of now we plan to keep our world for as long as we possibly can. When an update comes along that has terrain changes such as 1.8 we will expand the boarder of the world and allow players to explore new lands.

Server Issues:

For live updates, join our Facebook group. As the outage may be due to Mojang, please check Mojang’s Server Statuses. We are usually aware if there’s an issue, however if the issue persists and no status update is available we encourage players to post on the Facebook page.

Day/Weather Changes:

As we are primarily a building server both darkness and weather can be annoying. Although from the view of an owner being asked every 10 minutes for "Day please" is also very annoying. We used to do this often but it has become too much of a hassle so we have decided against doing it anymore.
