【 ETHOS 】

We are strictly against being pay-to-win and all gameplay-affecting commands are available to all players. All aspects of the server are and will remain EULA-compliant, protecting our players from unfair disadvantages that they could face on non-compliant servers.


【 EXPERIENCE 】

The staff team (all 18+) are experienced in server management and have spent more than 3 months preparing the server for opening. That's not to say that there isn't still continuous improvement, of course!


【 Ranks 】

【Outsider】

Outsider is the default rank on Aethyria, and the first rank on the "player" track. At this rank, players have access to the most basic commands, with restrictions in place to prevent griefers and trolls. The next rank on the track is Commoner.

【Alt】

Aethyria allows the use of alternate accounts ("alts") to assist with AFK-farming, but all alts must be disclosed to the staff team. Alts are given the same permissions as Outsiders, minus the home-related commands and the ability to interact with the economy.

【Commoner】

Commoner is the first rank that players will be promoted to. Commoners are players who are not brand new, but have not been around for a long time. They can list warps, send mail to players and place restricted blocks. The next rank on the track is Cohort.

【Cohort】

Cohort is the rank given to frequent players who are active and well-known in the server. They provide a good example to other players and have been noticed by the staff team as a result.

【Exarch】

Exarch is the highest rank on the player track and is a bridging rank between players and the staff team. Exarchs therefore have limited powers to help assist staff in chat moderation.

【Admiral】

Admiral is our first full staff member rank. Admirals are our general moderators, enforcing the server rules through bans, and rolling back grief and theft as necessary.

【Elder】

Elder is our administrator rank. Elders are senior staff members who deal with setting up and maintaining plugins, as well as being the point of contact for players' grievances with Admirals if needed.

【Consul】

The Consul rank is held by the owners of the server - Loaghtan and Kelainea - providing all permissions for moderation and administration purposes.

This server has been in production for 3 months now and we're so happy to finally open it to the public! The intention here is for this to be a community-oriented server, like in the olden days. There are no pay-to-win donor ranks and everything is EULA-friendly. Staff are active, players have all the permissions they need to have a good playthrough from their first login, and we're always working on more.
