This server has been for about a month now (about how long it has been online) and the one thing it is lacking is players. Why? Not because it is a bad server, but no one knows about it! There are currently two or three clans/groups on the server and a few people who play by themselves or with a buddy, but there needs to be more!
You may be asking yourself: "Why should I join this server? No one plays on it, I can just join another more populated server." Well, to that I ask this, why not join a fresh anarchy server? The resources are still high, there is still a forest near spawn, the area around spawn doesn't look like Swiss cheese yet. Join today with all your buddies and help shape the way this fledgling server grows!
Maybe you don't know what an anarchy server is? Well my definition is: A server with no rules regarding griefing/stealing/killing/building. There are rules against hacking, cheating, and spamming, but outside of that it is true freedom to do as you please. You don't need "building rights" and you don't need to worry about stealing from a player (as long as you can defend against their steel!).
As for actual server play and such, the player starts with a basic set of tools in a protected area. After one exits spawn, they are on their own. The only protected zone outside of spawn is the one you can make by defending it with your swords, bows, and whatever else you can come up with! Players have access to commands such as: /sethome, /home, /spawn, and /tpa. Personally I think the last command takes away from the anarchy experience, but it helps those that don't want to trek across the 1600 sqkm map (20000 blocks in either direction for those that don't know).
The owner has instituted a donation system with which he will maintain and improve the server for all players. There are perks for donating certain amounts, but those are still being worked out. Remember, the more donations that are given will yield greater RAM dedication and higher quality servers as well, making Dangerzone a more entertaining and enjoyable experience.
Server plug-ins are minimal and exist only to make the server a little more secure from cheaters/hackers. For the most part, a regular player will have a vanilla experience with access to the aforementioned commands.
So the server is advertised as a PVP server, what does that mean? Well, if youo re asking yourself that then here is my answer: it is a poor way of describing the server and only hits one of the key aspects that gives this server great potential. PVP is not only enabled on Dangerzone, it is encouraged, but so is griefing and stealing. In the future, there will probably a PVP arena for players to slash, hack, and (after they lose their gear) punch each other into oblivion. You are free to kill whomever you choose, even the admins.
