Right now the server is on 1.7.10 forge, with 7 mods. The server is still in full construction, nothing is working but we decided because of the mods and the struggle it is open alpha right now, if you grab the mods the server will let you connect and we can help you out to start playing immediately, we may even give you some light light items for free for trying us out so early.
Do you like Sword Art Online or Kingdom Hearts? Then you'll definitely like this server and what I have planned for it. The goal of Everwinter is to make an MMO server where players can work hard to earn items. Using a world system, I wanted to make a lot of different worlds with different themes and biomes with different items with quests and lot's of adventure. Everyone is gettting sick of the same old minecraft, my plan is to make it where anyone can create their own adventure with reputations and skills, you might be a swordsman while your best buddy might be an archer. That same buddy might be hated by the same faction that you are friendly with and do quests for. Create your own story, create your own second life, be who you want and take control, that's what Everwinter is about.
I know no one really likes modifications but the default minecraft is too plain, I wanted a server where there's 100 swords instead of just the default 4. I know, believe me, I know installing all these mods is a pain in the ass but just for you I'm going to tell you why I individually handpicked each mod and why it's significant to the server. I know it is a pain in the ass so to say to install everything but I'm going to make it easier for all of you and put all of the mods in a file. I tried to limit it to just a few mods so there wasn't too much for everyone to install. Even the lightest of laptops will still be able to run all of these.
Mine and Blade Battlegear 2
Provides players with a few new weapons, DUAL WEILDING, and shields. I chose this mod because I think the dual wielding was an awesome feature and just could not turn it down, it also gives nice resources such as a few weapons and shields.
Anime Battle Mod
Adds some nice 3D items from anime such as Sword Art Online :3. I chose this one because I know other people will enjoy it and the items itself are just too good to resist.
BiblioCraft Mod
This one is just a given, it adds so much detail that should be in default minecraft, it's essential to any modpack because of all the nice displays, mostly for decoration it also has lot's of other items and things that are just essential to this server.
CustomNPC's
This one let's our server do all of the backend stuff, it let's us create custom npc's which stands for non-player characters that will trade, give out quest, send mail, be the bosses, be the mobs, drop rare items, this is the most essential mod in the server, on top of all the features it adds furniture and other things, I can't express how important this mod is.
Grimoire Of Gaia
This mod adds over 50 mobs. A lot of items like spell books, rings, loot boxes, spawn cards, some food items, new enchantments and more content.
Metallurgy
This adds lots of ores and tons of swords, axes, and blocks that are used in most worlds, and decoration.

The gamemasters are the only current form of staff, they do all the building, and all the backend server stuff, there is no current way to apply for a gamemaster although I will tell you if you are interested in staffing a server like this then play on the server a lot and show good behavior, whenever we need one we are just going to take a vote on who the best option would be, then we will individually ask that person if they are interested and then if they meet our criteria then they will become a gamemaster.
