It's been a long time. Almost seven full years since I last logged into Goldstone, and even longer since I had the pleasure of meeting the whole of SkyClan and the rest of the server. Fortunately, I can now offer a solution to my forlorn brothers and sisters who still watch this board as I do. I've managed to host my own server that is continually and permanently running, oddly enough represented under a similar 'New GoldStone' banner. The IP is 67.221.45.86. If you swing by, I'll know, as I'm the one making sure it stays around. This isn't quite the grand creation I wanted to give it, but I'm scheduled for a major surgery in the coming months, and wanted to get the word out to whoever would hear before I begin recovery.

Wish it was still up. I miss it

It's been, what, five years? A long time. Too long. I may have been a pompous bastard who thought he ruled a damn MineCraft server, but damn if I didn't think I helped people. Or at least made the server a decent place to have a faction and to role play a General-King that had an army to dispose of whatever he deemed necessary, or protect the general populace if need be, depending on the day. I made a lot of friends on Goldstone. Iceman, Ghost, or Matt as I know him now, Moneydood, though he would never add me back on Steam (I know you keep logging on and ignoring me you bastard! You can't hide from me forever! :D Kami = Sky), and others. Why the hell am I typing this out for Talos-knows who'll even see it-at one in the morning the day after I turned eighteen, though? I couldn't tell you. I miss the old friends I made, miss the wars we fought, and generally miss how simple life was in middle school when you just signed in and dug for a few hours hoping to strike diamonds and make new friends. It was easier then, to forget that life was an actual thing, and that middle school was the hell that it always is, and always will be, to those poor souls who have to endure all of it. I miss the castles, and the adventure, and the cities. I miss the old sandstone wall the stretched from end to end of that great city, and I certainly miss the world. Goldstone. Regal, even now. I miss the forts we forged, and even the enemies I made at the time, those Arem Sicari and ScienceCreeper and whoever else I've lost to the ravages of time and memory loss. I miss the banner flying over Fortakiin in the summer (Whose idea was it to name it something as dumb as that!? Oh wait...My ego), and the great fires we build when the giant woolen Boots attacked with flaming vengence. I miss telling the stories of SkyClan in the halls of the Hogwarts Castle, and the landmarks me and my kin built for this place: HomeBase, SkyBase, Fortakiin (May it live on in Glory! :P), Castle Nine, Castle Sky, the Remnants place, the Rangers headquarters, and who could forget the damn wall we built around the half of it all. If you're reading this, then you remember those times, and you can smile and chuckle to yourself that, and remember that hey, it was pretty fun, but you have to grow up and look to real life at some point. I guess that's why I'm here now. Airing the grievances I had, and for the people I lost,  and for a server nobody else but me and my brothers and sisters ever cared about. If even them. Perhaps I rambling, and if indeed I am forgive me. If I ever manage to write Goldstone as a story, and if even then a good story, then perhaps my time spent dwelling on the past of a damn Minecraft server long gone was well spent. If not, then I salute you all for remaining with us until the end. I used to keep telling people to "Find me, and it can all be SkyClan's era again!" Childish, and I suppose I was. If you've come back to see if anyone has written some kind of eulogy for a long gone server, let this be it. And let me be the pallbearer. It's my fault as much as anyone else's that Goldstone didn't come back to stay. And let these be my final words to you: Live Well, and Live Honorably. Goldstone may not have meant anything to you, but it meant the world to me. And I thank you for that world, whatever part you may have played within it. Again, I thank you. For those of you that haven't figured it out yet, I am (was? It doesn't matter now does it?) the proud founder and leader of SkyClan, the "Few, the Proud, and the SkyClan!", or "Goldstone's Truest Protectors!" depending on when you joined my feeble strike at heroism. I am, for lack of a better term, a failed attempt. I am SkyrimDovakiin, or as some now know me, Trenton. I am a relic, and a memory to some, and a friend to others. If you are one of the old ones, do not hesitate to call upon or contact me. A shared message and a smile means the world to me, especially if you are one of my old friends I can no longer call upon. Call it pathetic, and I would agree with you, but I felt I had to share what a run down, rinky dink Minecraft server ment to a middle schooler who believed the world was coming down around him at its seams during those years. Goldstone was my solace during those times. Remember it well, my friends. I will.
