Macrocosm is about building, leveling, exploring and playing with a close knit community of players. If you want to concentrate on a solo build, build a massive town with other players, make a lot of money or build a market, Macrocosm is about playing the way you want with a variety of choices and gameplay styles.
While much of our gameplay is vanilla-ish, we have added a few fun plugins to add more flavor. Mcmmo adds a leveling system where you can level up powerful skills and abilities. Towny allows players to build towns and work together on shared builds.
Our server is about respecting each other and having fun in a friendly, mature environment. We utilize a whitelist to help achieve this. Our staff are friendly and professional and respect the hard work you put in. Coreprotect logs everything so we can restore any grief in seconds. We do not allow cheats, exploits or disruptive players.

Dynmap - over view maps of all worlds that shows player positions and helps you plan you builds or find each other.
Mumble - talk in real time with our free mumble chat server.
Events - we are always planning new server events and contest
Player Economy - you can build shops and sell your goods to other players.
Mob Hunting - you kill mobs and can earn money
Portable Horses - store your horse in your inventory for easy transport

Hey all,
It's been a busy month for Macrocosm and we have some updates we've recently released for the server and some stuff exciting in development that will be coming out soon. Including new purchasable ranks, new builds, a dungeon coming out soon and new events.
New Donator Packages
With the changes that Mojang wanted to implement as far as Donator Packages we did a total revamp of donator packages ours. As always the money you spend for the packages goes to the cost of the server.
We have made 4 new donator packages, which are now available to everyone. Supporter, VIP, Ultimate and Hero. We feel that the new packages are not in any way pay 2 win, which was the big concern with Mojang. The packages include more cosmetic items like pets and disguises but have some really cool stuff you couldn't get before like ridable pets, loot chest, and server bonuses. The server loot chest and server bonuses will be available to everyone on the server when someone donates for certain packages. Server bonuses including things like double monster hunting rewards, double voting rewards and MCMMO double xp weekends.
New Dungeon Coming Soon - Violente Villa
The Macrocosm Dungeon Team is hard at work with our third dungeon. It will feature a ton of new unique mobs and unique loot and is coming along really nicely.
New Program: Player of the Month
Each month (end of the month) the staff will be selecting a player of the month who will win prizes and be featured on the website. Congrats to merachelanne for getting July Player of the Month.
Two New Purchasable Ranks
We have two new ranks: Gladiator and Windwalker. The Windwalker rank allows you to fly on a magic carpet and the new Gladiator rank gets you a legendary sword and the ability to collect mob and player heads as you fight in combat.
Hard Mode World Coming Soon
We are planning on adding on adding a Hard Mode World upon the release of minecraft 1.8. The world would be half the size of the main world or smaller. The world would be a 1.8 map with all the water temples and new blocks etc. We are planning to have the world be set to the hardest difficulty. Items/inventories will carry over from the main world to the this world and vice versa so you would be able to obtain the new materials in this world. It would be accessible from a portal at the spawn. We may implement some of the difficulty features in this world, possibly including a blood moon plugin to make it more challenging.
PVP Arenas
We have done an overhaul of our two PVP Arenas, added a Battle Arena Page to the website and plan on adding Mob Arenas very soon.
