Whats the server like?

In all worlds, survive by yourself or with friends, and kill monsters to collect money, which can be used to expand your town, buy plots, or buy items from player made shops. The more creative you are with killing mobs, the more loot you will earn! Currently, there are two main worlds which form the both the backbone of the server as well as the 2 primary gamemodes.

In our Towny World, faction-type survival gameplay takes a front seat. Players can create or join a town, allowing them to team up with others in an expandable and fairly safe base of operations. Each town has multiple plots, which players can used to setup houses, shops, or public buildings. Towns can make both allies and enemies. Multiple towns can band together to form nations. War is possible between enemy towns and nations! There is a catch however: the only ore that spawns in the Towny World is coal… so if you want to get better tools than stone, you will have to make trips to the Adventure World.

In the Adventure World, Survival, PvP, and PvE take the primary focus. This world is filled with extra deposits of ores, but is also populated with tougher mobs (Custom created by yours truely) just waiting to eat you alive. To make matters worse, ,PvP and griefing are allowed in this world and players can place bounties on one another’s heads. So, if you are going to get the materials you need for your town… you better be prepared!

What is the staff like?

Currently the staff only consists of me and my Co-Owner; in the past, we had more people helping us, but due to major setbacks and other issues, were back down to just us two. Many of these staff members did help me make significant progress at different points, and without them, I wouldn't be here right now.

We are willing and planning to expand our staff numbers if we are pushed beyond our limits or if we get a stable player base of more than just 10 people. Of the two of us, I am more likely to be on than she. If you need anything don't hesitate to ask us either in-game, on discord, or on the forums. We are very nice!

What are the server rules?

The rules of JargonCraft basically boil down to the following:
  1. Don't be a jerk; be respectful of your fellow players.
  2. Be respectful to staff members. Do not ask for OP, Ranks, or Rare Items. DO NOT excessively bug the staff members, or try to abuse their power.
  3. Don't Cheat or Hack. (Duh.)
  4. No Spamming.
  5. No Advertising.
  6. Griefing is discouraged, but not officially prohibited (May or may not result in being punished depending on the situation)
  7. Above all, don't be a jerk.

What kind of players are we looking for?

We are looking for friendly & respectful players who will play regularly on the server, and help form a stable player base for us. Of course, we are also looking for people willing to give donations as well.

Donations

While right now I am paying for the server out of my own pocket, I would prefer it if some players would be kind enough to help with the monthly server costs. I am not really a businessman, so instead of a store, I opted to setup a monthly stretch goal. The server doesn't really cost all that much per month (due to signing up with a cheaper hosting company), but the price will increase greatly if I need to expand/upgrade it, change hosts, get paid advertising, add new features, etc.

The Future of JargonCraft

I have worked hard for the past 3 years to get this server up and running, and despite numerous setbacks and delays, I am here now. I want to see this server grow, but I am still fairly new at this, and the future of this project will ultimately depend on the players. If JargonCraft can get a stable community established, then I might be able to finally realize this dream of mine.

Currently, I have a goal of getting at least 10 regular players who are willing to invest in its growth.

If we can get a steady growth of players, with even only a few regular donators, then I will make sure to expand the server. We will add more features, world, and game-modes, and we will continue to tie them together into the greater whole!

So, what are you waiting for? Come and have some fun on JargonCraft!
