Intro:

Welcome to Enigma, the community of the players, the fighters, and the adventurers. Welcome to a community where everyone is there to have fun, and play the game we all love: Minecraft. From battling zombies with your friends, to waging war on enemy clans, to building a kingdom controlled by you, you can do almost anything here (as long as you follow the basic rules we have setup for you). Anything that your imagination wants to do: you can build it, conquer it, or fight to your death to defend it. We host games such as spleef, storm the fort(STF), capture the flag(CTF), and mob marothon, on any day that we feel is a good day to play. Most games will be held on weekends, but weekdays can still be game days sometimes. We're also open for new game suggestions, from a simple minecraft games to tabletop games on teamspeak. Our goal for this server is to please all members, and help them all find a way to enjoy minecraft the way everyone should. If you want to enjoy minecraft with us, come and join Enigma!

Rules:

Our rules are mostly basic rules that you would find on any server, but some of them are a bit more complex. We would like you to read them all, understand them, and also understand that if you break any of the rules, you will be muted, kicked, or banned. (Ban appeals are dealt with on our forums under the "Bans and Complaints" category.)

Do not steal of grief players who are just getting started on our server. Let them build a base and collect a few materials first. PVPing these players is up to the new player's opinion, if they say no PVP for them, though, you muststop.
Watch what you say in the chat. Do not use obscene, vulgar, rude,discriminatory, or racist language. Swearing is allowed at a moderate level. If any users complain about your messages, you will be spoken to. If you continue to upset members, you will be given an appropriate punishment.
Do not ask for a higher rank, and do not ask to be OP. The answer will be no each time. If you wish to become a staff member, follow the guide to becoming a staff member in the "Staff" section of this post. The guide is there, and if expected to be read by anyone wishing to become staff.
Do not use x-ray mods or textures, hacked clients, flymods, or any mod that gives you an advantage over other players. Play a fair and humble game, please.
Do not use inappropriate or offensive skins. We will ask you to remove the skin. If you refuse to remove the skin, you will not be allowed on the server.

Staff:

Our staff our kind, helpful, and always there to assist you. We try our best to chose the bestplayers we can to make sure you have the bestexperience possible. We aim to have mature staff that are able to handle difficult problems, and are able to solve them. It is for this reason that we require applications to become staff, and why you will be tested multiple times on how are are able to handle stress and if you are able to stay calm throughout the process (If you want to be a staff member, that is).

If you would like to become staff, you will need to create an account on our forums (www.mcenigma.boards.net), and then create a new staff application in the "Applications" category, in the "Staff Applications" board, and then click on "New Staff Applications", and create an application. In order to become staff, you will need to receive a 2/3 vote from all staff, which means that at the current time, with three staff, you will need two votes to become staff. Even though you only need two votes, you must also realize that we look for mature, experienced, and well-rounded staff members. You are only allowed to make one application a month, meaning that second and third applications will be immediately closed or locked. If you post too many applications without a solid reasoning, we(the staff) may decide that you are unfit to be given a staff position, and you may lose your chance at ever becoming staff.

Getting Started:

After you have read all rules, and you understand them, you can press one of wooden buttons on the rules board at spawn. This will change your rank to "Member", and from then on you are expected to follow all rules and listen to all staff members. Breaking any rules after reading them tells us that you did not pay attention to them enough, and that you are not fit to be a member of our server and until do are ready to pay enough attention to the basic rules. Really, though, they are easy rules. Our staff are understanding to an extent, and we will try to find out all part of any story before any actions are taken. A small break of the rules may result in a simple warning, but each warning adds up to a kick or a ban. In few cases, a user will be banned permanently from our server, and will not be allowed to post a ban appeal.

Plugins:

We try to offer the best experience possible, while also keeping to a true minecraft experience. We have no plugins that alter the game in any major way. VIPs get access to magiccarpet, and that is the extent of game-altering changes made by our plugins. We may add faction or clan plugins later, if/when we begin to build up a playerbase.

We will be getting Votifier and a vote listener soon. At the current time, we feel that a vote listener plugin for us the receive votes for our server is not needed due to the server just recently starting.

Buycraft:

We have a Buycraft Shop athttp://mc-enigma.buycraft.net/, which currently is not a premium shop. We offer three packages currently, two being donator ranks which offer special permissions, and one being a custom teamspeak channel. One of the donator ranks is open for you to donate any amount you wish (Above $10). We have made the packages on the shop low in price for the time being, and they will most likely remain at a semi-low price for the entire time we have a server. Please, donate or buy something if you wish!

Teamspeak:

Our Teamspeak server (mcenigma.teamspeak3.com) is open to all members of our community. We use it to talk, hang out, play games, and have staff meetings on. VIP ranks on the server do not transition over to the teamspeak server due to the lack of benefits that we are able to give. If you wish to have a title of "Donator", though, we can change your tag for you.

Additional Notes

MCEnigma is a PVP survival servers with very light roleplay. We allow players to build creations that they wish to, but they must find the resources themselves. Stealing and griefing are allowed.
