(History)


Freebuilddude is named after the classic freebuild server that was founded by mmerner three years ago. Up until Beta 1.8 when the creative world was installed on the SMP server, the classic server served as the cornerstone for building the FBD community. The old FBD SMP server lasted from beta 1.2 to 1.0.0 through 8 consecutive maps, and was shut down on January 30th, 2012, largely due to funding issues. The server remained shutdown for roughly six months with three failed reboots of the server, until Campeze, a former administrator on the server, rebooted FBD and got the old ip address of smp.freebuilddude.com from mmerner, the server's old owner.

Probation: NOT THE STARTING RANK. The rank given to people who abuse the rules of the server. Probation rank lasts for two days usually unless the person can argue the demotion otherwise. No building perms, and limited access to commands.

Guest: Starting rank. Has access to Spawn world, Survival, Plots, and building permissions. Guests do not have perms to build shops in the spawn town of survival world (Member+) nor do they have access to creative.

Member: Guests are promoted to member after being on the server for a full day. Members have the same perms as guests only they have access to more homes and perms to build shops in the survival spawn town. Members do not have access to the creative world.

Citizen: Members are promoted to citizen rank after being on the server for at least a week. Citizens have access to creative world as well as more homes.

VIP: The rank for donors. Vip is a sub-rank that allows you access to Vip kit and the Skylands world.

Trusted: Only Campeze, the owner of FBD promotes trustworthy citizens and old members of the former FBD server to this rank. Trusted has access to fly command in addition to more homes.

Veteran: Trusted members who stay on the server for over four months are promoted to this rank as a recognition to their dedication to the server. Veteran have the same privileges as Trusted does.

(Temp) JrMod: Entry level staff members who currently are learning commands. They're the basic helpers of FBD. They have kicking abilities.

JrMod: Novice staff members who have tempban, muting, and kicking abilities. They're the more experienced helpers of FBD.

Moderator: Moderately experienced staff members who have banning, tempban, muting, kicking, promoting, regioning, and spawning abilities. They run the server when an administrator is not on.

Admin: The highest level of the staff on FBD, the current admins and owner, Ncoll, KngsKings,Campeze (Owner), and BusterBurbanV6, have all the capabilities of moderator in addition to logblock, worldedit, and server commands.

Survival: Basic survival world with spawn town, shops, and towns. Creeper explosions are disabled along with TNT, fire spread, and flint and steel ( Only for Member+). Nether and the_end_world are accessible through player made nether portals and end portals. Spawn town includes a nether portal and an end portal.

Plots: A plot based creative world where guests+ are allowed to build anything they desire as long as it is not inappropriate.

Creative: A flat creative world only for citizens+.

Skylands: A skylands based world available only for vip rank. A skylands nether world is also open for exploration through creating a nether portal in the skylands world.

Spawn: The multi-verse hub world. Newcomers will enter this world upon joining the server for the first time. Spawn world includes portals to the nether and the_end_world

Games: A games based world that includes a PVP arena (not functioning currently), a mob arena, a Spleef arena, and a capture the flag arena (work in progress).

Everybody, i am making a VERY similar server and trying to collect all of the old staff members from the original two servers. It's name will be Freebuild-MC the brother of Freebuilddude. Campeze and BerpDerp said that they will be coming back, I want all of the old players and new ones!

I think this is a great server. The mods are nice, do not do rediculous punishments for a small thing, they respond to me fast when I need help. The people are nice along with no swearing. Creepers can only hurt and not destroy. Moderators are active too. Plus fair rules with autolocking chests and doors also you are able to put protection in your house.
