OasisCraft

This is a pretty straight forward minecraft server. We are running bukkit with a few plugins (detailed below) and just like to have fun.

There are no rules on this server. We encourage fighting, bombing bases, and stealing creatively, but be warned, hacking is not tolerated and you will be banned. Also if you bitch too much, be warned that you may have to fight in the THUNDERDOME for your supremacy.

We run quite a few mods on the server that we thing reward players more and give you something to do once that super secret dirt hole you have been working on for a month is finished.

Factions


This mod is what we use to let you claim an area and make stealing a bit more challenging. When you create a faction (/f create *name*) you can claim land, on this land only your allies or people in your faction can place or remove blocks by conventional means. TNT is still a viable option for cracking into someones base to get their wonderful dirt blocks and the more members of a faction you kill the less power they have, thus their claims get removed and you can steal to your hearts content. RealShop


So we have dongs, lots of dongs. To use said dongs, you can make shops! ProTip: anyone can make shops and sell shit they mine to their hearts content. We have some pre-built shops at spawn that are always stocked for you to buy and sell to as well. Here is the wiki for this plugin (you are going to have to read it if you want to set up a shop... it is complicated and I won't tell you ingame.): linky. Now you ask how do I get dongs?

uQuest


This is a quest system that lets you do stupid shit for dongs. Punch a tree 1000 times, 100 dongs. Collect 10 diamond, 10,000 dongs. Wiki here if you need it, but all you should need is /q : link

So, how can we make even more spergy repetitive things for you to do? We add a level grind! Actually not. at first I was against adding this, but now I love it. It turns those shitty activities like mining and clearing trees and mountains, into something more rewarding. You have abilities that are gained as you do more skills, such as the ability to find random shit in dirt (glowstone dust, bones, even diamonds when you are high enough) and give you some crazy combat abilites like fire arrows. NPCs


I've recently added in NPCs; right now they don't do a whole lot, but you can buy stuff from a few of the ones around spawn (such as armor/weapons from the guys pictured above). To 'use' them you have to right-click with open hands. [iapprove] is at spawn, you can give him pork in return for nothing.

There are some custom recipes that we added at some point and a way to buy gold ingots, but they plugins that run those have yet to be updated. We have a IRC channel on irc.synirc.net named DancesWithCreepers. Come hit that up and you can see chat ingame and talk to us while you are at work or some shit.

Also there is no whitelist any longer, and we are fully on 1.5_01.
