Go back to the good ol' days of Minecraft, where you can starve, get blown up by creepers, and use TNT. Don't worry, you can still avoid this with the use of grief prevention. Speaking with a current player on our server, he brought up a very logical point about the way we run factions. We are using factions for that sense and pride of playing with a group. We have disabled faction claming in return for grief prevention. This is a pvp and raiding server we just do it a little differently. We avoid base claiming of other factions and raid-griefing so players can work on building nice bases and don't have to worry about losing it all in one fell swoop.
