WHAT IS THIS PLACE?
RuinValor is a realm created by the infamous TF2 Community "Brotherhood of Slaughter" ( BHSlaughter.com ) Many of our members showed interest in having a minecraft server and thus it has been made so.

WHAT IS YOUR SERVER HARDWARE?
Description: Intel Xeon E3-1270 processor (four physical 3.4ghz cores on QPI + hyperthreading + turbo->3.8ghz)
Amount of RAM: 16 GB DDR3-1333 ECC memory
Hard drive size: 1000 GB SATA drive & 160 GB SSD
OS: Win2k8
SERVER SETTINGS:
- Survival: Mobs are enabled, resources must be harvested, player health enabled, pvp is encouraged.
- PvP: Enabled outside of towns and in the outlands
- Home of the Custom Economy Script, BOSEconomy, for currency.
- Only Restriction is placement of TNT (although it can be earned by gaining rank within the game).
- 10,000 Ã 10,000 block map size, there's always enough room!
WHAT PLUGINS DO YOU RUN?
- Permissions: Players can earn specific ablilities granted by plugins, and are ranked based on their position in the nation hierarchy.
Default: Un-whitelisted players with no build permissions, although they can walk around and look at the server.
Peasant: Whitelisted players. You're given a pay bracket and permission to build anywhere that isn't protected, and can build on protected land they own.
Knight: Individuals that have gained build rights to a part of a city or town to help manage it under a Lord. Helping around a town might get a Lord to notice you and promote you to Knight.
Lord: Lords manage a town or city under a Duke. Unlike Knight positions, Lord positions are a bit more limited.
Duke: Dukes are a King's trusted men, and help run the nation as they see fit.
King: The person in charge of their nation. Kings have access to WorldEdit to set up plots in their land, but they can't use it for anything else.
- Multiverse: We have the ability to run several maps at once, including the Nether and event worlds.
- Borderlands: Having an endless world is amazing, but resource intensive and very few servers can host a mass number of people as well as maintain a far distance border. We have created a 10,000 block border. This is ample land to explore and expand, and if the time ever is needed we can easily move the borders further.
- WorldGuard: Protects our server against grieving. Although new players are not allowed to drop anything until an admin gives them "Peasant" status; there are many people who will join a place and then start doing it because they think its funny. This plugin allows us to track them and stop them! We also use this to create cities, restrict PvP to non-city locations, and create Church's or Sanctuaries that heal.
- BOSEconomy: This is a homebrew plugin created by one of our members. It allows our players have to have our currency in game, pay other players, view income levels. On an admin side of the house we can create Payment Brackets [ Knights, Lords, Dukes, Kings, and more... ]. On an interval base (customizable by the plugin) the server will automatically pay the players based off of their payment bracket. We also have the ability to add a modifier to the players core bracket and thus create jobs that will have + or -'s to their income rate. If your wondering why we created this plugin, there is no plugin out there that has JUST currency at this point, with as many options or as much control as this one has. Future updates will have TOP income peeps, as well as a way to scale payments based off of inflation of the currency.
- ChestShop: Allows for automated purchasing and buying, you no longer need to wait for shop owners to be online.
- Lockette: This allows us to protect our chests from players thieving. The ONLY persons who have access to your chests are high level admins and they will NEVER take anything under punishment of perma ban from all of our game servers. The nigh non-existant overhead on this plugin means that no amount of chests will cause lag on the server.
- Graveyard: When you die, you will not return to spawn, you'll return to your town's graveyard instead.
WHAT IS THE PREMISE OF THIS SERVER?
Our hope is to create a living breathing community that will thrive. We now have two nations, red and blue, that have towns under their capital city, united under their king. Players can eventually branch off and create their own towns, if they have enough of a following and the money to fund it. The Red and Blue nations also go to war, to earn special bonuses for the winning side, and to provide our players with a different experience. The goal is for players to create dynamic content for entertainment while providing them with an expansive world that is highly moderated.
ARE THERE RESTRICTIONS?
You will not be able to create or destroy anything upon your first entry into the server. You must first sign up on our forums on

thread you will gain access to the "Outlaw" rank. At such a time you will be able to join a city and purchase land, or build out in the wilderness.
ANYTHING ELSE I SHOULD KNOW?
We have a 100-man vent server. Stop in and get to know everybody whenever you like, if you play WoW or TF2, or LFD2 or any other game we have people in our MC community that do as well.
