SymVille aims to provide an exceptional Minecraft multiplayer experience that differs from other servers. We feel that it's wrong to impose restrictive rules that take away an aspect of the game. As a result, we only have five golden rules that we require every player to follow which you can find in the rules page. From the moment you join the server you will have free access to every aspect of vanilla Minecraft. You will be able to jump straight into survival or creative. We have various worlds which you can access through our Hub. Assuming you chose to jump into the survival world, what is there to do?
How to play SymVille:
The goal of SymVille is for you to become the richest player and control the largest empire. When you first enter the fields of SymValley you will only have a small amount of SymBux and certainly not enough to create your first faction. It's wise to find a secluded area to start out because your base will not be protected from other players at this stage. Creating a faction costs a significant amount of SymBux and until then staying below the radar is a good tactic. After you've established your base of operations you will need to earn enough SymBux to create your faction and you can do so through the following options:
Once you've gathered just enough SymBux to create your faction you can go right ahead and do just that. The fees don't stop there, however! Refrain from setting your faction description, home, etc, as these functions all cost SymBux which you won't have a lot of as you start. Before you claim your land you need to ask yourself if you plan on remaining in that location as moving your base will cost a lot of SymBux. Claiming your first chunk of land will also cost a hefty amount of SymBux and you most likely won't have this amount if you rushed to create your faction. You'll most likely have to grind a little more to gain the amount needed to claim your first chunk of land.
Once you've colonised your newfound territory you need to establish your borders and be able to defend it. Avoid making enemies and try to gain a few allies in this early-game phase as it will be essential for your survival - you certainly don't want all your SymBux to go to waste! Draft your own recruitment policy and look to recruit other players in order to increase your power and the amount of land you claim. Frequently dying will cost your faction some power and will leave you vulernable to other factions as they can invade your territory and colonise your land if you have low power. After you've established yourself, have a few chunks claimed, and have a decent amount of members in your faction it's time to establish jobs within your newfound government. Look to create automining contraptions that will automatically gain you resources in order to sell to the shop or other factions.
The hard part is over at this point, you've established a small faction and now you're looking to expand. From this point onwards, you will need to figure out how to become the richest faction on the server. You will certainly have a lot of competition, but the trick is to have more members contributing to your faction bank. Grind for more SymBux to claim more chunks or hire people to get you resources which you can sell. You must ensure that your own government has enough money to survive as there will be plenty of disbursements. Train your own army and look to invade your enemies and completely take over their territory. SymVille's demands will always change and you need to do what it takes to remain the most powerful government on the server. Impose taxes on your members or even other factions who are near your territory. Offer other factions to pay you protection money and in return you'll give them your word that you won't invade them. From then on, the adventure is what you make of it.
