The Elder Scrolls: Gold Coast Minecraft Server

Server Information:

The Elder Scrolls: Gold Coast is a roleplay server set in the expansive, macabre lands of Elder Scrolls, spanning from the city of Anvil and its surrounding county to the roads nearing Kvatch, which will in time be accessible. Serve the regency council in the name of honor or service to the Empire, join the town guard to enforce local order, even find yourself in the employ of the Aldmeri and Hammerfellian diplomats, involved in the intrigue of the great powers that border the city. Fight beasts, gain wealth, redeem tarnished sanctuaries, fight daedric ghost fleets, and make your mark in the city of Anvil, one septim and blade at a time.

Server Status:

At the present, the server is in development, being built at a more than steady pace. Pictures of the builds will continue to be added to forums post at regular intervals. We are always looking for new build talent, and are happy to be contacted on our Enjin regarding potential builder positions.

General Rules

-By playing on this server, you must abide by our rules and conditions. Should you disobey them, you will be met with a fitting punishment.

-Respect the authority of the admins, they have sway while dad’s away.

-Do not harass staff, they do occasionally enjoy not being assaulted by volleys of requests regarding self afflicted experimentation. If you have a question, send us a private message on Skype or Enjin and we’ll get to you as soon as possible.

-If you think you are being treated unfairly by a staff member, contact a different member of the admin crew. We’ll assess the situation and deal with it accordingly.

-When being called out for doing something bad by an admin, the “it’s not in the rules” excuse will not stand if you’re clearly performing an idiotic act.

-Offensive language and deliberately causing problems in any OOC environment related to the server with another played is not allowed and will be dealt with. If there’s a problem, either contact staff or have a civilized chat with the other player.

-Do not harass other players.

-Using multiple accounts is okay, however, you are responsible for these accounts. If a rule is broken on them you will be held accountable and you will be punished on all related accounts.

-Using a second account to bypass a ban is strictly prohibited, and will also be met with the almighty banhammer.

-Account sharing and character sharing is not allowed. Your character belongs to you, not someone else.

-Multiple characters are allowed, and will always require a character application.

-Trolling, spamming and flaming are not allowed, and will be dealt with accordingly.

-OOC Griefing is not allowed.

-Client-side mods and hacks that give you advantages over other players are strictly forbidden. (X-ray, Parkour mods, etc..)

Roleplay Rules

-Meta-gaming (Making use of information acquired OOCly to influence IC actions.) is strictly forbidden.

-Power-gaming (Forcing one’s actions upon another player without allowing the recipient to react, regardless of the likelihood that they would succeed.) is also strictly forbidden.

-ERP (Erotic Roleplay) is not allowed. If you believe having digital intercourse is absolutely necessary for character development, use “fade to black” or take it to Skype.

-When picking a race for your character, you are allowed to make your own race. You are however required to write an application for this, which will be critiqued on a much stronger level than a run of the mill application. It needs to fit with our universe. Please do check the existing races before you do create your own.

-Roleplay realistically, don’t do something your character would not do or would not be able to. (For example, putting a full set of Iron armour on while doing a backflip in combat as your character slashes a demon in the face with a greatsword.)

-You will only be officially in character when you are wearing the correct skin that corresponds with your character. “I forgot my password” is not an excuse, you can retrieve it. If you still need a skin, ask the community, we always have skin artists that are happy to help.

-In a conversation, do not simply walk away without saying anything. Reply to the person addressing you or emote walking away before you do.

-We don’t do PVP, we do RP-PVP.

-In a combat situation, do not perform impossible feats. Fight realistically.

-In a combat situation, do not run away before emoting, and wait until the opposing party has replied.

-We don’t expect anyone to write extensive paragraphs the size of novels to describe an action. A short, clear emote is often the best.

-RDM (Random Death Match) is not allowed. Your character being a blood thirsty psychopath is not an excuse.

-When your character dies, it is dead, and can not be brought back unless there was foul play. In which case you can contact an admin to assess the situation.

-When wounds are sustained in combat, roleplay them accordingly. A stab wound in your shoulder is likely going to make that arm less usable.

-You can not start on the server with equipment. That slick armor and sword your dad’s uncle's nephew’s neighbor gave you in your backstory will have to be made on the server.

-Use common sense. If you do something that you know will get you in trouble, you will probably find yourself in a sticky situation.

-In character racism is allowed and a very common thing on the server.

-Wherever you go (except for staff members), you will be In character. Exploring something OOC’ly is not allowed.

-Please stick to the lore, do not bring up things from another server’s lore or another game. We have our own lore, which the staff team worked hard on to provide you with a basis.

-Please take your RP seriously. If you’re caught trolling, or using emoticons in your emotes you will be punished.

Crafting Rules

-Do not create anything outside of your skill level, to do so falls under powergaming and will be punished harshly.

-Do not use an anvil to rename an item to anything that is isn't. Each item has been personally created by a staff member, and we'll know if you do this. This will be met with proper punishment.

While these rules are in place, there are grey areas that are not covered by these rules. The situations that encompass this grey area will be dealt with by a staff member.

ALL STAFF DECISIONS ARE FINAL. We cannot stress this enough. Once a staff member has made a decision, it is final. If you believe that you have been treated unfairly, take it to another staff member of Admin rank or higher. Do not argue with a staff member, this will be met with proper punishment.
