The Lost is a new RP-heavy server intended for mature players. We're here to tell a story--If you think there could be a chapter in it involving your character, then please come and join us.
Premise: You awake on a strange beach. Where are you, how did you get here, and why does that guy look like a zombie?
The server is running on hard difficulty. What's that mean? Well, you get a little hungrier if you don't eat, and zombies can bust through wooden doors.
The Lost uses the following mods:
1. McMMO: For some spice
2. Vault: For currency bonuses when you vote. Support your local sheriff..err..server.
3. ChatManager: There is a global chat for out-of-character and a range-limited chat for roleplaying. Stay with the herd or you won't be heard :-D
4. PhysicalShop: Because hauling your cash around is more realistic. So is hiding your cash. The server uses iron ingots and gold nuggets as its official currency. Voting for the server gets you extra gold nuggets. You are able to create shops that trade currency for items.
That's right, you've got to haul your cash around. And there's no teleporting, so start laying that track and making friends. There is no "spawn camp" until, and unless, the storytellers (players) decide to build one. If we can build a mature community I'll consider enabling PvP.
There is a voice server. Regular mature storytellers will be promoted to Citizen and receive access. This is a professionally hosted server capable of around 40 concurrent players. Let's build a small, tight-knit community.
When I'm not speaking with my "dad voice" I'm just another storyteller role playing a character. I'm not going to force story lines on everyone. I'll observe interactions and insert an event to complement. For example, if players make a walled town, I'll give them a zombie siege to test the walls with. Storytellers are welcome to submit their own planned events. I will support those events on a first come, first served basis.
Rules:
1. Be considerate and respectful of the other storytellers. If you're going to role-play a jerk, do it without being a jerk yourself.
2. Keep the language PG-13. No F-bombs.
3. No real-world politics.
4. No real-world religion. The Lost has its own deities--discover them.
5. Out-of-character (OOC) chat should only be used for light-hearted chat that doesn't involve their RP. If your character gets lost and cannot find its way home a moderator can provide some divine assistance.
6. Provide feedback.
7. Don't ask to be a mod or admin. Wait for an invite.
8. No hacking, and no client-side mods.
