The Proving Gounds

DescriptionThe Proving Grounds is an RP/PVP server. We want players to be able to play and progress in any way they see fit. You won't be forced to PvP if you don't want to, neither will you be forced to RP if you don't want to. To achieve this, we have split both PvP and RP into separate worlds.

The Main City
The Main City is the place to go if you're looking to buy/sell goods, part take in PvP Arenas, or gain access to any of the other worlds. The Main City is the "hub" of the server.

The RP World
In the RP world players can create their own Towns using Towny. They can then invite their friends to be a part of their town. The more people you have in your town, the bigger your town can become. PvP is disabled in this world.

The PvP World
In the PvP world, there are no rules. Players are granted a cash reward every time they kill a player. The PvP world is a very dangerous place, but can be extremely profitable.

Claim Territory and Building Your Empire
We use Towny on the server to allow players to claim land, recruit new players to their town, and grow their empire. With Towny you can start out by claiming a small area of land within the RP world. Once you have claimed land, you get to control the permissions for that area. The more players you add to your Town, the more you can expand its size. If you become successful enough, you can start to sell plots to other players, or even start your own Nation.


PvP
The main place to go to start killing other players is the PvP world. Killing players in the PvP world grants the player a cash reward, which they can use to buy anything they please. The safe and easy way to take part in PvP is to use PvP Arena's. PvP Arena's offer players a safe and rewarding way to PvP; you will still get a cash reward, but you won't lose any items when you die in the arena. We also have methods in place to stop players from logging out while in PvP combat. If they log out, they automatically drop all of their items on the ground.
