In Ultimate Deathban, you have 3 lives. If you lose all 3 lives, then you get temporarily banned for 2 weeks. To get more lives, you have to kill other players (with a 25% chance of absorbing their life) or participate in special events such as The Feast or The Bloodbath.

In your journey, you'll find various towns to sell and buy goods in. These towns offer various services to help you survive, and are a safezone from PVP. You may also buy houses to store your stuff and live in peace for a (steep) price that comes with tax. 
You can get money from selling your goods at town or trading with other players.
