My entry for the Nuclear Winter Skin Contest.

Beth swifty jumped from ledge to ledge through the long forgotten and decaying city of New York, while closely being chased by a group of Scavengers trying to get back the supplies she had stolen from them. The edeg of the building closes in and without thinking Beth took a leap of faith and thankfully landed, investigating the damage, Beth notices her jacket had been ripped from the hanging metal from the crumbling building. She looks up and noticed the Scavengers searching for a safer way down, using this opportunity she makes a break for it and finds shelter under a parking complex. Pulling out her compus she begins to head off to her sanctuary where she could drop off her loot from rading the scavengers. After half a day of walking she finds her settlement and is greeted by the rest of the survivors, whom had grateful smiles for Beth risking her life.
