Hello.
To make a link to a palette in the PMC editor:
In the box that shows your palettes, there 3 dots in the top right corner. "Share palette" would be the option you want.

I went looking around for some tutorials that I thought would be good to follow along. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find the one I learned from but its probably outdated by now!

The first video is a pretty quick overview tutorial of how to use Blockbench to create a model. The second video goes more in depth and shows his whole process.
I highly recommend Blockbench. Its free and user friendly. You can even make player skins in it too or completely non-minecraft things. Its a good tool!
