Once upon a time, there was a fox with nine tails and fur that shined like fire in the light of the moon and sun. One day, a farmer came upon the fox with his young child, and of course, the fox felt fear build up inside of it and when the foolish child reached out they regretted their actions. A curse was laid upon the young girl, to where she would see what it was like as a fox- but also learn as it would be as a human. People call these kitsunes (just plain fox in Japanese) and soon, the girl started to learn her lesson. People pulled her tail, yelled in her ear, everyone treated the girl as she had treated the creature of nature- even if she were a young child at the time and did not know better. Lessons soon became legends though as time passed, the girl became a woman, elderly and frail, and the day she passed away- the fox lay upon the grave being the only creature there, and placed down a single flower petal that has golden due upon it. Pride caused the fox to place the curse, and sorrow now caused the fox to regret it, but it had become too late- and now the creature knows better than to spite and smite down anyone in their own vanity.
