• because of his big, brute build and nature, Adonis spent most of his life making a living off being a body guard or sorts. keeping people safe from the dangers of the world, and getting paid in return. it’s not like he minded, really. apart from the scars, it was easy money, and he could keep the people he holds close safe. his kids looked up to him, too, which was all he wanted.

•but, deep down, it wasn’t his passion. no, not at all, if he was being honest with himself. to most, it may have come as a surprise, but Adonis was a tinkerer. He was fascinated with machines, buildings, metal, structure. Taking things apart and putting them back together with your own hand. When he got older, so did his kids, and by this point they were already out the house and starting to live their own lives. so, he figured he would retire and try to pursue the thing he wanted to do most. but oh! what such coincidence that a letter had suddenly appeared right in his study!

• of course, as most people would be, he was hesitant at first. his kids, his other family, etc flashes before his mind, but in the end, he decided to take a chance. so, with a message saying that he was “going on a trip for a while”, it was off to the boat he went. I mean, he isn’t getting any younger.
