Agender Pride Flag Skin
The Agender identify falls under the Non-binary Umbrella, however if you recall from previous pride flag skins, when that "a" is placed in front of a word, it means lacking or not existing, examples such as asexual means lacking sexual attraction, aromantic is lacking romantic attraction. So if we put that thinking towards agender, identifying as Agender means that you don't identify with ANY agender.
How is this different from identifying as Non-binary? Well when someone identifies as non-binary, they don't have a gender identity attached to the binary spectrum of male to female but that does not mean they don't have a gender identity. Someone can identify as non-binary and have a gender identity on a completely different gender spectrum than the one we know and use in this society. Being Agender means that regardless of who's gender spectrum we are looking at, they don't fall under any of it. They do NOT have a gender identity. Period.
Let me repeat that one more time just in case.
Non-binary individuals experience gender OUTSIDE of the gender binary so there is a chance that some may still experience gender in some aspects of their lives while Agender individuals do NOT experience gender PERIOD.
I know it may be difficult to conceptualize how a person can not experience gender, however that is not for you to know. You are not required to know how every single person thinks and feels. Just yourself. So yeah, it may be difficult to understand how a person can experience the world without gender and that's okay. You have a gendered experience. Live it! If you happen to feel that lack of gender experience, it's okay to not be able to put how that feels into words. Just know that there is a community for you and that you are not alone.
The Colors and Its Meanings
The full flag goes Black, Gray, White, Lime Green, White, Gray, and Black.
Black --> Agender Experience
Gray --> Demi-gender experience
White --> Agender experience
Lime Green --> Deliberate invert of the color Purple from Non-binary Flag
*Important Information and Resources*
To this day, many members of the LGBTQIA+ community face many hardships that impact their overall health, wellbeing, and livelihood. This results in homelessness, mental health issues, emotional health issues, drug abuse, death, and social abandonment. This is because there is a vocal group of individuals who perpetrate discrimination and hatred towards the LGBTQIA+ just because they love in a different way than they believe it should be.
Love is love and there is nothing harmful about it. There is also nothing harmless in how you identify who you are. That is for you and no one else!
