decided to remake this skin from 3 years ago in my recent more muted colour/shading style. i know that the bright eye catching oversaturated version probably suits the actual character more but my sister recently read the series herself, i was making minecraft skins for her and i remembered that i made that one, and i also remembered my tendency to just overuse oversaturation and had really inconsistent shading which i think may or may not have come from the use of this one godawful shading tutorial that i found and stuck to for a lot of my skins back then.

i didnt really change that much except i made the colour scheme less headache-inducing, made the hair shape a bit more interesting and actually tried to remember that alex is latinx this time (which now i think about it, i may have attempted to in the old version due to the slightly odd hue of the shading on the arms but honestly it just looks like a white person with jaundice) im not sure if i did too well with it but at least i didnt just make him/her a more orangey white person.

not sure if its better or worse than the original since i didnt really make any mind-blowing changes but i liked the result so im posting it
