This is a komon kimono, that is to say a casual, everyday kimono. I tried to aim for the colors fit for April and this color combination is called "koubai" (https://wafuku.wordpress.com/2011/05/15/japanese-colour-names-seasonal-combinations/). Komon kimono are made of a bolt of fabric that has a continuous pattern so the pattern is essentially the same from top to bottom. Here I tried to aim for a geometrical pattern. My inspiration was asanoha (hamp leaf) pattern, but it didn't come out quite so I'm afraid. The hanhaba obi (belt) is wrapped in chou musubi (butterfly knot).
Her hair is done in the traditional shimada hairstyle with just one kanzashi (hair decoration) to go with the casual style. She has also tabi (socks) and zori (sandals).
Kimonos are a hobby of mine and I try to make the details match. I pulled the collar down at the back and at the front the left side of the kimono overlaps the right (as it should). Usually I make a 45° decline of the collar at the front, but here I tried a more upright angle. I also broke the pattern below the obi to indicate the ohashori fold.
Most kimono skins I've seen are seemingly either fancy furisode or houmongi, plain iromuji or colorful yukata, and I decided I needed a more casual kimono for the things I do in minecraft.
