Banshee

A banshee is a female spirit who soars through the air at night, emitting ear piercing shrieks with the frequency to burst a humans brain. Are they trying to communicate to us, but cannot speak except in death howls? Are they simply lost souls trapped in the afterlife by a horrible tragedy that they cannot pass on from? Or are they intentionally aggressive? Do they actively seek out people to kill for enjoyment?

Whatever they are, it's wise to keep your distance, or you might end up in the local cemetery.
