Captain Ace of the Fifth Brigade Reporting!
The slick blue coat of the haired mammal glistened under the lights emanating from the ship's dashboards. His crooked grin sparkled cockily under the flaming red visor that adorned his helmet, a symbol of status.
He strode up to the front navigation console while adjusting his collar, a few quirky pops and crackles buzzed contently from the flickering screens. His eyes dove into every facet of information as quickly as it was spit out, coordinates and system names, crew members and spice values.
A name rang from the back of the ship's bridge. Frantically a woman's voice strangled out a garble words that petered out into a sort of slobbish slur. She straightened herself before continuing.
'Ace! We're in a lot of trouble here! The Snazzgoblinoids have struck the ship with one of their infamous terror rays!'
Quickly each member of the ship rushed to their designated positions, mashing buttons feverishly and inputting various commands. Ace lunged for his pilot's seat, it swung around to meet a set of joysticks not unlike those of an old arcade machine. He jerked them hard to the left to bring himself face to face with the Snazzgoblinoids.
A maniacal laugh zipped over the monitor that dominated the front half of the bridge, a hideous green face with oozing pustules sneered hatefully. By the gods, it was their terrible leader!
Ace pressed down on the two red buttons in front of him, crimson laser beams arced from the bottom of their vessel. They collided with the Snazzgoblins' ship with a terrible thud as the attack flew harmlessly off their shields.
The enemy ship shuddered and quaked as it gathered up for its horrendous attack. Space seemed to be drawn up in its folds as a blue ball of energy formed in their cannons. With a nauseating silence, the ball launched forward.
It soared across the void, coming ever closer to Ace's ship..

'Mom! I was watching that! It's saturday, Captain Ace and his Howling Commandos is on!!'
Eddie's mother gave him a disapproving glare as she ushered him outside to play with his friends. He grabbed her leg and held on for all his little body could, but it was of no use. She brushed him off and set him on the front doorstep, his dog sat down next to him excitedly wagging its tail.
It's like a 80s cartoon hero thing sorta maybe
