Once a fearless captain, now a vengeful spirit.
Warren was described by his mates as foolishly fearless. One night while he and his crew were sailing the Atlantic long ago the sky gave the foreboding warning of a gale approaching their course. Warren could have easily changed course and return to the safety of the port but that would cost him precious time he needed to deliver mass stacks of hay and alcohol. So he sailed onward into the heart of the beast. The gale began its wrath and the waves quickly grew in size and rocked the boat back and fourth. A peculiar glow was seen atop the masts of the ships. St Elmo's fire it had to have been. That was the gale's final warning as lightning struck the vessel and in a flash the ship was lit a flame. The load of hay and alcohol; notoriously flammable, combusted and engulfed the entire ship in fire in the blink of an eye.
In a matter of minutes the ship had completely burned to the waterline. so quickly that the ship had not even started capsizing. Only one sailor survived to tell the tale.
But Warren was not done. From the grave he still sails the sea. If you see the glow of light far off into the horizon that's not a lighthouse, keep a careful watch with your spyglass. Because if you sail too close you will suffer the same fate of Captain Warren and his crew in Davy Jones locker.
