the bubonic plague is spreading. Charles Downington, the esteemed plague doctor. His beaked iron mask and expensive clothing tell people he means business. Charles had not very much training in the medical field. He was a wealthy businessman before being employed as a physician. But after a while Charles became well known as a treater of the plague. But one day. Charles was called in for a case of the plague. The patient was a fat greasy peasant with little to no money. after his treatment Charles began to notice signs of the plague. His own treatment was not enough... He died weeks later...


Plague doctors were a very important part of the dark ages. They were om most cases not trained in the medical field. the beaked masks were for masking the face from the putrid smell of the victims. which was then thought to be the cause of the infection. But because they constantly had to deal with patients. their survival chances were very low.
